New York Fashion Week kicked off on Thursday, and I’m already so behind on catching up on the collections so far! We still have a full week of designers to go, but here are some of my favorites from day one.
I wish Marissa Webb dressed me in my day-to-day life. The former J.Crew designer’s style feels structured, cool and totally wearable.
Tadashi Shoji’s glamourous collection was influenced by Moorish architecture and bursts with rich colors, lace and embroidery. Those capes really steal the show.
Nicholas K’s collection is a refreshing departure into an almost futuristic grunge. The designers, brother and sister Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, were inspired by the book, Men at Sea, which captured the lives of commercial fishermen.
10 Crosby features voluminous shapes and feminine hour glass silhouettes. I love the colors, ranging from powdery pink and neutral ombre to rich blue and burgundy.
